INITIAL REHAB ASSESSMENT
An initial rehabilitation assessment is the first step in developing a personalized rehabilitation plan for your pet.

During this approximately one-hour appointment, our rehabilitation veterinarian will assess your pet’s mobility, movement, strength, and areas of concern, while reviewing their medical history and your goals for their care.

Following the assessment, we’ll discuss our findings and recommend appropriate treatment options based on your pet’s individual needs, condition, and comfort level. Your pet’s rehabilitation plan may incorporate a combination of therapies and therapeutic exercises, with recommendations tailored to support their recovery, improve mobility, manage pain, and enhance quality of life.
ACUPUNCTURE
Veterinary acupuncture is a treatment that involves placing fine, sterile needles at specific points on the body to help manage pain and support your pet’s overall comfort and function.

At Bridge City Veterinary Rehabilitation, western medical acupuncture may be incorporated into an individualized treatment plan for conditions such as osteoarthritis, certain neurological conditions, and musculoskeletal pain. It may also be used to support recovery following surgery and can complement other rehabilitation therapies.

Each treatment is tailored to your pet’s individual needs, with the goal of improving comfort, supporting mobility, and enhancing quality of life.
LASER
Laser therapy is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that can help relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and support the body's natural healing processes.
Whether your pet is living with arthritis, recovering from surgery, or managing a soft tissue injury, Class IV laser therapy may be a valuable part of their rehabilitation plan. Each treatment is tailored to your pet's individual needs, with the goal of improving comfort and supporting better mobility.
TENS/NMES
TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) and NMES (Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation) services.
Pets experience targeted pain management, muscle rehabilitation, enhanced mobility, and accelerated healing.
Our personalized therapies ensure precise and effective care, guiding your pet towards optimal well-being.
HOME EXERCISE PROGRAMS
Extend the benefits of rehabilitation into your pet's daily life with our Home Exercise Programs.
Our specialized plans are designed to empower pet owners, offering simple yet effective exercises that support the ongoing well-being of your furry companion.
From enhancing mobility to promoting strength, our at-home strategies ensure that your pet continues to thrive between clinic visits, fostering a seamless journey to lasting health and vitality.
UNDERWATER TREADMILL THERAPY
Our underwater treadmill therapy provides numerous benefits for your pet.
The buoyancy of the water reduces stress on joints and bones, ideal for dogs with arthritis, hip dysplasia, or those recovering from surgery.
Water resistance builds muscle strength and improves range of motion safely.
Warm water soothes pain and stiffness, promoting faster recovery and comfort.
Regular sessions enhance cardiovascular health, increase endurance, and help with weight management by providing a safe exercise method.
The new environment and water sensation also offer mental enrichment, keeping your furry companion engaged and happy.
PEMF
Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy is a non-invasive modality used to support pain management, tissue healing, and recovery in veterinary rehabilitation.

We incorporate PEMF therapy into individualized treatment plans to support comfort, mobility, and recovery. We have seen encouraging results using PEMF as part of a multimodal rehabilitation approach for patients experiencing delayed healing following orthopedic conditions and procedures.

PEMF may be used alongside other rehabilitation therapies, with treatment tailored to each pet’s condition, needs, and recovery goals.
PLATELET-RICH PLASMA INJECTION
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a natural treatment that uses your pet's own blood to promote healing and reduce pain.
PRP is rich in growth factors that support tissue repair, making it an excellent option for pets with osteoarthritis. It helps improve joint comfort, reduce inflammation, and enhance mobility. PRP is especially beneficial for aging dogs, offering a safe, minimally invasive way to manage arthritis and improve their quality of life.
At Bridge City Veterinary Rehabilitation, PRP therapy is part of our comprehensive approach to keeping pets active and comfortable.
